Happy Birthday

Ok. My birthday is February 7th, 1988 and yes, I did turn 21 this year. I seriously would like to know why I still get hassled when I go out for being young! I give bouncers my i.d. and they'll be like 'oh dang! barely made it!' This happened to me yesterday when I went to Brewfest. I also got hassled when I went to the Metro in Chicago. It also has happened to me in St. Louis when I went to Off Broadway, Firebird, etc. It's one thing to say it, say 1 month after my birthday, but it is coming on to 6 months now! This is ridiculous that I'm literally have been hassled about my age every single month I go out since I've turned 21. I'm not doing anything illegal. I'm not new to this drinking business. I don't even necessarily look younger than 21! I just don't understand why I still get told happy birthday when it was 5 months ago! Does this happen to anyone else?! Do people think I have a fake i.d.? Bah I suppose I should just be flattered?

Current Summer Obsessions

I get obsessed with things b/c I have nothing else better to do.
Here are a couple of things that I live for

Every since the premeire of the show a couple weeks ago. I have been consumed by that lovely tall man. CONE BONE!

2.Trapeze Class
Cassie told me about how she went to this trapeze class and had a lot of fun. So being a crazy adventurous person I am I decided to tag a long. Last week's lesson beat the hell out of us. Today I have an extreme awkward rope foot burn, but I can actually do the above pose! So build me a trapeze and I'll would be glad to oblige thee!

3. Veronica Mars

Ok I used to watch Veronica Mars on t.v., but very limited. Probably three episodes a season and I'm probably the reason why the show got canceled in the first place. I borrowed the season at the library and was CONSUMED! Meaning I watched the season 3 days straight and didn't leave my house until I watched every last episode. I have recently started the 2nd season, but I have yet to find a gap of time where I won't be forced to leave the house.

4. Darjeeling Tea

specifically by Ashby's. Although currently I'm drinking some by Tazo, but DARJEELING TEA is AMAZING! I also enjoy English Breakfast Tea which is like a mixture of Earl Grey and Darjeeling well I'm not really sure. I'm probably making it up, but whatever. All I'm saying is that I enjoy drinking Darjeeling Tea while watching the Darjeeling Limited. ( You can't resist)

5. Yoga, Pilates, Exercise Ball, Exercise Band

Lately I have been getting into exercise regiments that don't feel like you are actually working out. Thus my solution is yoga! I love it to death. It's relaxing and gets all the kinks out of my body. I highly recommend Shiva Rea as seen in my previous post.

Veronica Mars Season 1

Ok I just finished watching Veronica Mars season 1. It took me about 2 and a half days and I'm glad to be done. I was consumed by that show. Omg I don't know how people did it on a weekly basis when the show was airing. But it really is a great show, its a mixture of the OC, Gossip Girl, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I don't know its great! But I had a few problems with the show

1. inconsistency of cell phone - her cell phone changes about 3 times through out the first season, one day she'd have a side kick, then a black berry, then a flip phone

2. how she had so much great technology for being a poor woman

3. how nosy she is?! she couldn't do that in real life!?

Things I've Been Doing

I've been doing yoga by this lady, Shiva Rea which is really intense and actually a huge work out. I highly recommend it if you don't feel too silly listening to her. It's actually really relaxing. I learned how to do some handstands today! It was crazy. But it was filmed in white sands national park in Nevada which is really awesome.

I also made some Asian dough nuts with my mom. They are quite delicious.

I am also burning new music well new music to me, but they include The Replacements - Hootenanny, She & Him - Volume one, and other stuff that I used to have.

HEY O!

I've decided that I want to work on making my personal blog cooler or more cool. Whatever. SO new layout and shizz! Fixed profile pic! New perspective. I have failed at my diet, but I'll just start in June! Yes. Because everything starts in June. I'd also like to ideally like to add more things to this blog like pictures, music, videos. So we'll see...
My current topic of discussion and conundrum.

As I start on my summer reading list, I often ponder whether to "waste" the time to reread a book I enjoy or to read another new book. I mean the list that I have is huge and there is always another book that I could be reading to expand my perspective/ point of view, but I can also attain my knowledge/ a different perspective by reading a book again. So I'm kind of conflicted on what I should do with my time. I mean I could be reading a book in general instead of wasting time pondering which book I should read, but do you know what I mean? What do I do? Well nonetheless I have started to read The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It is quite lovely and it frustrates the hell out of me that I am unable to compose such beautiful sentences! Why am I unable to write?!
